Божественное исцеление для нас сегодня

Did you know that Jesus desires everyone to be whole from their feet to their mind?  This is why He made the ability to be healed divinely for everyone. He actually cares about how we feel in our bodies, and if we are sick, He wants us to be well.

Matthew 4:23-24

“23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.”

Matthew tells us that part of Jesus’s ministry as he preached the gospel was also to heal those He saved.

Isaiah 35: 4-6

“4 Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.

5 Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

6 Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.”

Isaiah prophesized that a man would come and bring healing to us, and we know that man would be Jesus.  We also read in Matthew, Jesus brought healing through His ministry, and account after account in the Bible shows us that He healed the sick as He preached the gospel.

In one report, a sick man was lying on a bed, and Jesus said to the man, “son be of good cheer thy sins be forgiven thee.” The religious people in the room were taken back that Jesus would say thy sins be forgiven thee.  But Jesus, in His own words, responded, reminding the people who were criticizing him that He had the authority of His father to perform this miracle because He is Divine.  Jesus has the power to forgive sins and heal the body.

Mathew 2:2-11

“2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them.

3 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.

4 And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.

6 But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

7 Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?

8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?

10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)

11 I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house.”

So the man arose and departed healed.  Young people, I believe Jesus still wants to heal those that are sick today.  Throughout His ministry, as Jesus healed people, He did extraordinary things.  In the book of John Chapter 11, Jesus brought a man back from the dead.

This man’s name was Lazurus.  Jesus loved Lazurus and His sisters very much.  When the sisters sent for Jesus to help Lazurus, he was only sick.  But by the time Jesus arrived, Lazarus, unfortunately, had passed away, and they had already put him in his grave.  Jesus told them to remove the gravestone from Lazurus’s tomb, and when he entered, he prayed to God for Lazurus to rise forth.

John 11:41-42

“41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.”

Let’s look closely at Jesus’s prayer.  First, Jesus thanks God for hearing, and then because Jesus knew God heard His prayer, He also knew God would answer.  Jesus thanked His Father for the healing that He would provide.  We likewise need to be thankful to God for the prayers He answers for us when we go to God for a need.  The beautiful part of this story is that Jesus cared so much for this family that He raised Lazurus from the dead.

John 11:43-46

“43 And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

44 And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

45 Then many of the Jews which came to Mary, and had seen the things which Jesus did, believed on him.

46 But some of them went their ways to the Pharisees, and told them what things Jesus had done.”

God wants each of us to have good health. He cares for us so much that God is concerned even for our well-being.”

3 John Verse 2

“2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Brother John also wrote that the brethren would prosper in health.  God did not send His Son to heal the soul only but to heal our bodies too.  Jesus healed the lame and the leaper divinely.  People who heard of Jesus’s ability to heal brought people to Him on their beds because they couldn’t walk, and Jesus sent them away walking!  Through the power of God, Jesus was able to bring healing to the heart, soul, and body.

Divine healing did not go away after Jesus’s departure into heaven. We can still read about divine healing in the book of Acts. Let’s look at the instructions outlined in the Bible for us to receive divine healing, as James wrote.

James 5:14

“14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:”

This is a promise that God gives to all of us.  If we are sick, we are responsible for calling on the elders and having them pray over us.

James 5:15

“15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.””

We also need to have faith.

James 5:16

“16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

If we are sick, our first responsibility is to call upon the elders and seek prayer.  Second, we must have faith and believe God can bring healing.  Lastly, we need to come before God with honesty in our hearts, believing God can do it – this is praying the effectual fervent prayer.  If you are sick today, God wants to bring healing to you young people.  Healing of the body didn’t stop in the New Testament – God is still healing people today.  I can testify that I have known people who have been sick, and God healed them.

Finally, God sets the members in place in His church, and He gives gifts to the members of His body.

1Corinthians 12:28

“28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”

So, in God’s church today, He has given us apostles, prophets, and teachers, but He also provides us with the gift of healing.  Jesus is the same compassionate Christ today that He was in the New Testament, and He is looking upon us His children, caring for each of our needs.  This morning you may ask, “is it God’s will that He heal me?”  Yes, God wants to heal His people.  God has healed me many times in my life, and I believe today He is still bringing good health to people in this world.  So the next time you get a headache or feel sick, go to God in prayer believing and let Him send healing to you.
