Recuperación del pecado y la adicción - Paso 10 - Aceptar la responsabilidad

10. Continuamos haciendo nuestro inventario personal y cuando nos equivocábamos lo admitíamos inmediatamente.

Vamos a tener nuestros días buenos y días desalentadores. Y a veces, una y otra vez, vamos a necesitar que alguien más nos ayude. Para escucharnos. Para ayudarnos a mantenernos en el "camino recto y angosto que conduce a la vida".

Por lo tanto, estemos cerca de los verdaderos amigos que hemos encontrado durante los pasos del 1 al 9. Porque ellos ayudarán a cuidar nuestras almas.

"OBebe a tus líderes [espirituales] y sométete a ellos [reconociendo su autoridad sobre ti], porque ellos están vigilando tus almas y protegiendo continuamente tu bienestar espiritual como aquellos que darán cuenta [de su mayordomía sobre ti]. Que hagan esto con alegría y no con dolor y gemidos, porque esto no te beneficiaría ". ~ Hebreos 13:17 Amplificado

Estar dispuesto a ser pastoreada

Un verdadero amigo le recordará lo que se necesita para mantenerse en el camino correcto. Y eso es lo que también hará un verdadero pastor. Y eso es en particular lo que describe la escritura en Hebreos 13:17 anterior. Uno que es responsable como pastor de las ovejas.

“Como un pastor busca su rebaño el día que está entre las ovejas que están esparcidas; así buscaré mis ovejas y las libraré de todos los lugares donde fueron esparcidas en el día nublado y oscuro ”. ~ Ezequiel 34:12

El pecado y la adicción producen una nube sobre nuestras vidas. Pero la claridad de la verdad nos puede sacar. Y eso tiene mucho que ver con lo que hemos estado identificando hasta ahora en los pasos 1 al 9. Y un verdadero amigo-pastor nos guiará por la claridad de la verdad.

Cuando encuentres un amigo pastor fiel y verdadero, mantente cerca de él. Porque son difíciles de encontrar en esta vida.

“Pero al ver la multitud, se compadeció de ellos, porque se habían desmayado y estaban esparcidos como ovejas que no tienen pastor. Entonces dijo a sus discípulos: A la verdad la mies es mucha, pero los obreros pocos; Rogad, pues, al Señor de la mies, que envíe obreros a su mies ”. ~ Mateo 9: 36-38

In this scripture above, Jesus was talking about people who were able to go to the house of worship, the synagogue, every week. They had leaders there who would lead them in prayer, singing, and in teaching from the scriptures. But Jesus did not describe them as “shepherds.” He said the people were “as sheep having no shepherd.”

So let us consider what a true shepherd-pastor is. They are more than a leader of a worship service. They are more than a leader-organizer of a congregation. They need to know how to shepherd-pastor the people. To individually help them with their needs. And those kind of shepherd-pastors are rare and hard to find!

Un verdadero pastor no mezclará la verdad con la mentira. Un verdadero pastor lo guiará por un verdadero evangelio. Por el verdadero testimonio de Jesucristo, quien es el camino, la verdad y la vida.

“Jesús le dijo: Yo soy el camino, la verdad y la vida; nadie viene al Padre sino por mí”. ~ Juan 14: 6

Entonces, un verdadero amigo-pastor guiará de la misma manera que Jesús pastorearía: para que usted pueda seguir los pasos del Salvador.

"El señor es mi pastor; Nada me faltará. En verdes pastos me hace descansar; junto a aguas tranquilas me conduce. El restaura mi alma; me guía por sendas de justicia por amor de su nombre. Aunque ande en valle de sombra de muerte, no temeré mal alguno, porque tú estarás conmigo; tu vara y tu cayado me infundirán aliento ”. ~ Salmo 23: 1-4

The rod and staff represent things that a loving shepherd would use to direct and to correct his sheep. But a shepherd of the sheep would not use these to harm them. And so the sheep were actually comforted by the rod and the staff. And the Word of God is also compared to a rod for the purposes of correction, and instruction for measuring to righteousness.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.” ~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Note: remember that “perfect” here means mature. A mature person takes responsibility by listening and taking correction.

Cuidado con los lobos

So as we identify true friend-shepherds, let us be careful that we don’t get taken advantage of by a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Seek only for pure living, which is the straight and narrow way. Do not allow a false shepherd to lead you into the easier broadway. You have done the hard work to restore relationships in your life. Continue in the hard work of respecting those relationships. Including finding a seasoned shepherd who knows how to respect all relationships, according to the Word of God.

Note: True relationships are long-term. So we must accept responsibility for maintaining them for life.

“Por tanto, todo lo que quisiereis que los hombres os hicieran, así también haced con ellos; porque esta es la ley y los profetas. Entrad por la puerta estrecha; porque ancha es la puerta, y espacioso el camino que lleva a la perdición, y muchos son los que entran por ella; porque estrecha es la puerta, y angosto el camino que lleva a la vida. , y pocos son los que lo encuentran. Cuidado con los falsos profetas, que vienen a ti con piel de oveja, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces. Los conoceréis por sus frutos. ¿Recogen los hombres uvas de espinos o higos de cardos? Así, todo buen árbol da buenos frutos; pero el árbol malo da frutos malos ”. ~ Mateo 7: 12-17

Jesus did not say you will know them by their gifts. But rather by their fruits. It is critical that you know the difference. There are many gifted ministers that are leading people astray today! And the reason why it is so easy to do this, is because people are relying on the gift that the minister has. And they are not inspecting the fruit of their lives.

People have a strong tendency towards the idolatry of worshiping a gift in an individual. This not only happens with minister gifts. But it happens in the entertainment industry, the sports industry, and politics. People gather around and follow others that have gifts, and they can be easily misled. This is specifically why the Apostle Paul warned against this.

“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I would not have you ignorant. You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, even as you were led.” ~ 1 Corinthians 12:1-2

The reason the scriptures warns us against the broadway, is because it is easy to drift. There’s not much struggle with the broadway. Not much working and putting forth the effort. You’re just sitting back and taking it easy. But continuing in the narrow way takes some “striving” because it is actually a struggle.

“Strive to enter in at the straight gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” ~ Luke 13:24

So what this means is that we again look over steps 4 through 9, and keep going over them as often as I need to. But… Not taking as long to correct ourselves. We learn to “promptly admit” when we have a need, and we promptly take care of that need. No dejes que las cosas se demoren y se enconen hasta que vuelvan a abrumarnos.

Porque si estas cosas están en vosotros, y abundan, os harán que no seáis estériles ni infructuosos en el conocimiento de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Pero el que carece de estas cosas es ciego y no puede ver de lejos, y ha olvidado que fue purificado de sus antiguos pecados. Por tanto, hermanos, procurad más bien hacer firme vuestra vocación y elección; porque si hacéis estas cosas, no caeréis jamás; porque así os será abundantemente entrada al reino eterno de nuestro Señor y Salvador Jesucristo. Por tanto, no seré negligente en recordarles estas cosas siempre, aunque las conozcas y estés establecido en la verdad presente ”. ~ 2 Pedro 1: 4-12

Preste atención a lo que le genera problemas

Y a medida que continuamos trabajando para agregar estabilidad y fidelidad a nuestra vida, también seamos conscientes de las chispas que podrían causarnos un incendio problemático. Encarguemos nuestras necesidades con prontitud cada vez que surjan problemas.

“Hermanos, no me considero a mí mismo haber comprendido; pero esto que hago, olvidándome de lo que queda atrás y extendiéndome hacia lo que está delante, prosigo hacia la meta para obtener el premio del supremo llamamiento de Dios en Cristo Jesus. Por tanto, todos los que seamos perfectos, estemos así pensados; y si en algo tenéis otra intención, Dios también os revelará esto. Sin embargo, a lo que ya hemos llegado, andemos por la misma regla, ocupémonos de lo mismo ”. ~ Filipenses 3: 13-16

Aceptamos que para mantener una nueva vida sin dependencia de sustancias, vamos a tener que "mantener el terreno" que hemos tomado y seguir avanzando. Este no es solo un plan de “deslizamiento hacia una nueva vida”. Se necesita un trabajo regular para mantener lo que tenemos y mantener el rumbo. Debemos reexaminar periódicamente dónde estamos y hacer ajustes cuando sea necesario para corregir el rumbo cuando empecemos a desviarnos aunque sea un poco.

“Examinaos a vosotros mismos si estáis en la fe; probarse a sí mismo. ¿No os conocéis a vosotros mismos, que Jesucristo está en vosotros, a menos que seáis reprobados? " ~ 2 Corintios 13: 5

The word “reprobate” means to be without judgement. Meaning we no longer examine ourselves, and we can no longer discern where we are along the pathway. If we begin to stray, it will take the mercy of the Lord (perhaps through someone who knows us and some of our past weaknesses) to straighten us up. This is why it is wise to continue to come to the meetings and services so we can build the necessary discipline into our lives to stay on course. These necessary corrections can sometimes also seem a bit painful, but yet they are still necessary!

“Y os habéis olvidado de la exhortación que os habla como a niños, hijo mío, No desprecies la disciplina del Señor, ni desmayes cuando eres reprendido por él.Porque el Señor al que ama, castiga, y azota a todo el que recibe por hijo. Si soportáis la disciplina, Dios os trata como a hijos; porque ¿qué hijo es aquel a quien el padre no disciplina? Pero si estáis sin castigo, del cual todos participan, entonces sois bastardos y no hijos. Además, hemos tenido padres de nuestra carne que nos corrigieron, y les mostramos reverencia: ¿no estaremos más bien en sujeción al Padre de los espíritus y viviremos? Porque, en verdad, durante unos días nos castigaron según su propia voluntad; pero él por nuestro provecho, para que seamos partícipes de su santidad. Ahora bien, ninguna disciplina para el presente parece ser gozosa, sino penosa; sin embargo, después da el fruto apacible de justicia a los que por ella se ejercitan. Por tanto, alza las manos caídas y las rodillas debilitadas; Y haced sendas rectas para vuestros pies, no sea que el cojo se desvíe del camino; más bien, que se cure ”. ~ Hebreos 12: 5-13
